STJ Digital ("STJ", "we", "us") is operated by STJ Adriana Dutka, a sole proprietorship (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) based in Poland. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we handle it.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information directly through this website — there are no user accounts, contact forms, or newsletter sign-ups. With your consent, we use a small number of optional analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, described in full below.

Purchases

When you buy one of our tools, you're taken to Etsy or Gumroad to complete checkout. STJ Digital does not process, receive, or store your payment details or other checkout information — these transactions are handled entirely by Etsy and Gumroad, each under their own privacy policies. About our tools

Our tools (for example, the Printable Flashcard Generator, Japanese Kanji Study Tool, and Subscription Tracker Excel Template) are standalone offline files — HTML applications or Excel spreadsheets — that run entirely on your own device.

These tools do not connect to the internet, do not transmit any data back to us, and do not include any tracking or analytics. Any information you enter into them — flashcard content, study progress, subscription details, or anything else — stays on your device and is never sent to STJ Digital or anyone else.

Some tools also offer a free, in-browser demo that runs directly on this website (for example, the Printable Flashcard Generator demo). The content you create in a demo works the same way as the downloaded tools: it runs locally in your browser and is never transmitted to us. To keep your progress from disappearing if you refresh the page, demo content — like flashcards you create — is saved only in your browser's local storage. We cannot see or access this data, and it's automatically removed if you clear your browser's site data.

We also offer standalone online tools that live only on this website, with no downloadable version at all (for example, the Random Rule Generator). These work the same way as the demos above: any content you enter or generate stays in your browser and is never sent to us. If a tool lets you save something for later — like saving a favorite rule — that's stored only in your browser's local storage, the same as demo content. We cannot see or access this data, and it's automatically removed if you clear your browser's site data.

Demo and online tool pages are themselves regular pages on this website, so — unlike the downloaded tools — they may load Google Analytics if you've consented to analytics cookies, the same as any other page. See "Cookies and analytics" below for details. This only covers the fact that you visited the page; it does not extend to anything you type into the tool itself.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in an aggregate and anonymous way, how visitors use this website — for example, which pages are viewed and roughly how visitors found the site — so we can improve it over time. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

Your choice comes first

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences. Google Analytics is never loaded, and no analytics cookies are set, until you explicitly accept it. If you reject it, nothing changes — you can keep browsing the site exactly as normal, just without analytics running in the background.

What Google Analytics collects

If you accept analytics cookies, GA4 collects things like which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, your approximate location (city or country level, not a precise address), your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site (for example, a search engine or a direct link). GA4 does not store your full IP address, and we do not use Analytics to identify you personally, build advertising profiles, or share your data with ad networks.

Legal basis for processing

We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR) as the legal basis for using analytics cookies. We only begin processing analytics data after you give that consent, and it's entirely your choice.

Withdrawing or changing your consent

You can change your mind at any time. Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen your preferences and accept, reject, or adjust which optional cookies are allowed. Your choice is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers, and takes effect immediately.

Data retention

Google Analytics retains event-level data (like individual page views) for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's systems.

International data transfers

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, but data may be processed on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google provides safeguards for this under legally approved mechanisms, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Your rights under GDPR
